neXenio GmbH today announced that it has joined the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), the world’s leading organization dedicated to defining and raising awareness of best practices to help ensure a secure cloud computing environment.

neXenio originally got its start as a spin-off of the Hasso-Plattner-Institute in Potsdam just a few years ago by a group of ambitious students. Its mission is to develop and continuously improve highly secure software services and enable collaboration by global teams and the company has now grown to over 50 employees. The team, which is based in Berlin, is focused on the conversion of research projects into products in the area of #NewWork, Security and digital work processes. The services offer a highly secure framework without impacting product quality, usability and feature richness.

Besides its virtual whiteboard, the neXboard, which also enables a number of advanced communication features, the company offers the multi-cloud solution bdrive. Bdrive has been developed in collaboration with the Bundesdruckerei, Germany’s federal agency producing banknotes, passports, and ID management systems, and therefore, offers the highest level of security. Lastly, neXenio is pioneering a product which focuses on behavior-based authentication. It calculates a trust-level, which is solely based on the users behavior. Ultimately, it enables physical access control, auto lock or other use cases without ever needing a password or any other less secure techniques commonly used to provide protected access.

With its products, neXenio is leading the way to a safer, as well as more reliable world of collaboration and is contributing to the CSA’s goal of providing a secure cloud computing environment. The solutions are incredibly easy to use and therefore, convenient for everyone. They offer the perfect user experience for everyone who wants to keep track of their data and ensure it is not getting lost or stolen.

Patrick Hennig, CEO, and Philipp Berger, CTO of neXenio, are both excited to join the community. “There are so many opportunities and we are excited to exploit the full potential of the CSA community. neXenio is still a young company, and we are looking forward to contributing, as well as to benefiting from this knowledgeable network of likeminded companies, executives, and entrepreneurs,” Patrick Hennig said.

“CSA is looking forward to welcoming a new member, which is enabling the rapid growth in multi-cloud environments, as well as delivering other new products that show high-growth potential,” said Jim Reavis, co-founder and CEO, Cloud Security Alliance.
