We’re open sourcing Protocol Fuzzer Community Edition!

GitLab acquired Peach Tech, the industry leader in protocol and API fuzz testing, last year.

We were thrilled to release API fuzz testing as part of our 13.4 release. Since then we’ve made tons of improvements, such as adding Postman support and supporting runtime value overrides, and we’ve received great feedback. We’ve also heard the questions about the Peach protocol fuzz testing capabilities and what is going to happen to them.

Kasten by Veeam releases open-source Kubernetes storage optimization tool

Cisco to sell HashiCorp Terraform Cloud with the Cisco Intersight Platform

HashiCorp has announced it has entered into a multi-year agreement with Cisco, in which Cisco will sell HashiCorp Terraform Cloud Business alongside the Cisco Intersight platform. The agreement will help customers achieve a hybrid cloud operating model using Terraform’s infrastructure as code for infrastructure provisioning and management of private datacentres with Cisco Intersight.

InMotion Hosting Announces the General Availability of its On-Demand Private Cloud Powered by OpenStack

InMotion Hosting (IMH), a Silver Founding Member of the Open Infrastructure Foundation (OIF), launches a platform that supports the rapid deployment of small OpenStack private clouds.

InMotion Hosting establishes a foothold in the IaaS and Private Cloud markets by announcing the general availability of Flex Metal Cloud IaaS. Flex Metal Cloud offers an On-Demand Private Cloud powered by OpenStack, an open source infrastructure platform.

OVH Data Center in France Destroyed by Fire, All Staff Safe

Hosting company OVH says its staff are safe after a fire destroyed one data center and damaged another at the company’s campus in Strasbourg, France. All four data centers at the campus are offline this morning, but the company is working to restore some services once power can be restored to the site.

“We have a major incident on SBG2,” OVH CEO Octave Klaba tweeted Tuesday evening. “Firefighters were immediately on the scene but could not control the fire in SBG2. The whole site has been isolated which impacts all services in SGB1-4. We recommend to activate your Disaster Recovery Plan.”

GitHub and Docker Hub are being used to launch crypto mining malware

Cloud computing has become an ever more present part of our day-to-day lives, but the risks of malware hosted on its platforms are as prevalent as any offline servers. Aqua Security’s cybersecurity research team, Team Nautilus, yesterday unveiled a resurgence in attacks against GitHub and Docker Hub, two large platforms that support cloud computing development, which place Monero cryptocurrency miners on the platform and execute them.
